PP-R管又称无规共聚聚丙烯管（三型），是九十年代开发生产的新一代绿色环保建材，该管材除具有一般塑料管材重轻，耐腐蚀，不结垢，使用寿命长的优点外，还具有良好的卫生性能，较好的耐热性能，使用寿命长的优点，且导热系数低，保温节能，采用热熔连接方式，安装方便，连接可靠，物料可回收利用，是名副期实的绿色环保建材。PP-R同铝塑复合管相比，可以生产大口径的管材，最大口径可达160mm以上。

PP-R pipe, also called polypropylene random copolymer pipe(Ⅲ style), is a new generation of green building material developed and produced in the 1990s. As light as other common plastic pipes, it is corrosion-resistant and antiscaling, and has a long life span with its excellent hygienic properties and good thermal endurance quality. It is genuine green building material in reality as well as name for its low coefficient of heat conductivity, heat preservation, energy conservation, easy installation, dependable hot melted connection and recyclable materials. Unlike copper-plastic composite pipe, PP-R pipe can have heavy caliber pipes produced, with a maximum caliber of over 160mm.
