定义：

棕刚玉，俗名又称金刚砂，是用矾土、碳素材料、铁屑三种原料在电炉中经过融化还原而制得的棕褐色人造刚玉，故为此名。棕刚玉主要化学成份是AL2O3，其含量在94.5%-97%，另含有少量的Fe，Si，Ti等。

棕刚玉的使用范围：

棕刚玉称作工业的牙齿：主要用在耐火材料，砂轮，喷砂。

1.喷砂棕刚玉——喷砂磨料硬度适中，堆积密度高，无游离二氧化硅，比重大，韧性好，满堂红棕刚玉是理想的“环保”型喷砂材料，广泛应用于铝型材，铜型材玻璃，水洗牛仔服精密模具等领域；
